Bunny Care Benefits
Skip the Rabbitude
Bunnies are notorious for holding grudges. Plus, like children, they act worse for their parents! Let me save you the stress of the rabbitude while making your bunnies look and feel good.
Hoppier at Home
Grooming is often difficult enough without adding the stress of traveling on top of it. With at-home grooming, stress is kept to a minimum.
Lower Vet Bills
Bunnies ingest fur when they groom themselves. Too much fur build-up in their stomachs can cause GI stasis, which can be life-threatening. Making sure your bunny is regularly groomed helps prevent these digestive issues.

FAQ's
Here are some FAQ's I get to help you get started.
-
How often should I have my rabbit groomed and their nails trimmed?Typically brushing your rabbit on a weekly basis during light shedding seasons and daily during heavy shedding seasons is advised. However, the frequency may vary based on your rabbit's individual shedding patterns, fur length, and the amount of fur present in their feces. There are different factors that contibute to the growth rate of your rabbit's nails. Typically, they should be trimmed every 1 to 2 months. However, rabbits that enjoy digging or have access to rough flooring may naturally wear down their nails to some extent in their daily activities, potentially reducing the frequency of nail trimming. It's reccommended you assess the length of your rabbit's nails once a month to ensure they don't become excessively long.
-
Why is regular grooming important? When rabbits groom themselves, they can ingest their fur. During shedding seasons, this hair can accumulate into bigger hairballs which can create a blockage in the rabbit's gut leading to GI Stasis. Stasis is a serious condition that requires immediate vet intervention and can lead to death if not treated properly. Additionally, rabbits can develop matted fur which can be painful. Wet fur or contact with urine can contribute to matting. Even the simple acts of running around or sleeping can lead to matting in long-haired rabbits.
-
When is shedding/molting season for rabbits? Each rabbit follows its unique shedding schedule that is more likely to follow the change in temperature than traditional calendar seasons. Typically, rabbits have a significant shedding phase twice a year, in spring and fall, and a minor shedding period in both summer and winter.
-
Why are Grooming & Nails combined? I can do grooming by myself. In order for me to be able to sustain providing a mobile bunny care service that works for everyone I have to bundle my services.
-
Why is dirty & matted fur so expensive? To ensure the bunny is safe and as low-stress as possible, it takes extra time and a delicate touch to clean dirty fur &/or remove matted fur. I assess the condition of the bunny starting at $50.00 because this can take longer and may require some additional cooperation from the bunny.

Just wanted to say that I had @TheHareDresser come groom my rabbit Esser at home today, and (not surprisingly) it was a great experience! Highly recommend.
Now Esser can be grumpy with someone who isn't here, and I can just be the hero who came in afterwards with treats. :)

Hi Sage, just wanted to say thank you for grooming my buns today. I absolutely do not need to worry when they're grooming with you because they are just so comfortable being held in your arms. For anyone whose bun is not cooperative at home for grooming, you definitely need to call Sage!
